Empowerment
Cultivate skills, confidence, and leadership in women and men dedicated to tech innovation.
Breaking Barriers in Technology (BBT) is a registered NGO based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, committed to advancing gender equity in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Who we are
We empower women and youth from both urban and rural communities by equipping them with future-fit digital skills, offering platforms for innovation, and creating expanded opportunities in STEM.
Through our three core pillars, BBT works to bridge the digital divide and support Tanzania’s national development agenda. Our ultimate goal is to help build an inclusive, resilient, and competitive digital workforce that reflects the talents and potential of all Tanzanians.
